The United Nations GoLandRegistry Blockchain Initiative Takes On ‘A Challenging’ First Assignment In Afghanistan
The United Nations Office of Communication and Information Technologies (UNOICT) and the United Nations Habitat (UN-Habitat) jointly agreed in September 2019, to create a blockchain framework that would support a digital land registry known as the “goLandRegistry” in Afghanistan. With worldwide attention on the pandemic, Afghanistan is suffering from increased corruption and extremist violence.
